Stonehenge and an afternoon in Bath

A big coach day from Victoria Coach Station: about an hour and a half at Stonehenge, then a long afternoon on your own in Bath, with entry tickets as add-ons. Choose it for the price and the free time in Bath, and accept that you see the stones from the path.

Stonehenge & Bath with Entry Options

About this experience

This is the simple version of the day: two UNESCO World Heritage Sites and a coach between them. You board at Gate 19 inside Victoria Coach Station from 8 AM, the coach leaves at 8:15 AM, and a guide talks you through the countryside on the way to Stonehenge. There you collect an audio guide and take the shuttle or the footpath to the stones. You stay on the visitor path, with no access inside the circle.

Then Bath, and plenty of it. The listing's own pitch is that you explore the city on your own for hours, and guests back it up: one reports about 2 hours at Stonehenge and about 4 in Bath. What you pay depends on the option. The from-price of $115 is transport and guide; Stonehenge entry, the Roman Baths and the Jane Austen Centre are add-ons you pick at checkout.

It has more reviews than any other tour on this site except the Windsor, Lacock and Bath day: 5,529 at 4.7. Most praise the guides and the pace. The complaints are about options: in September 2026 one guest wrote that the Pulteney Bridge and Royal Crescent pass-bys didn't happen and that the guide said there is no time for both the Roman Baths and the Jane Austen Centre. Keep your voucher handy, and treat the two together as a squeeze.

  • Hours to explore Bath on your own
  • Stonehenge with the visitor centre, audio guide and shuttle (with the entry option)
  • Entry options: Stonehenge, Roman Baths, Jane Austen Centre
  • Guide on the coach both ways
  • About half the price of the inner circle tours

What guests say

I felt like there was plenty of time in both Stonehenge (approx. 2 hours) and Bath (approx. 4 hours) to do everything I wanted. I had James as the tour director and he was great! He kept it entertaining and was very clear about when and where to meet back up.

The tour gives you about 1.5 hours at the Stonehenge site then an afternoon in Bath. You can get lunch at a local restaurant on your own, choose to visit the Roman Baths or other stores. I'd highly recommend it!

We even had time for a slow lunch in Bath and spent extra time in the Roman Baths, which was absolutely fascinating. Stonehenge was also amazing. Be sure to do the audio tours in both places.

This was well worth the time we would have spent driving. It was a really comfortable coach bus. Lots of seat room and it was not fully booked.

  • Pick either the Roman Baths or the Jane Austen Centre. One guest said there wasn't time for both.
  • Bring a jacket. A guest wrote "Bring a jacket!!!", and the stones stand on open, windy ground.
  • Roman Baths prices change by month: from 1 November an adult ticket booked ahead is £23.50 on weekdays and £26.50 at weekends, per the Roman Baths.
